Sharon Scipio is an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner currently serving at AZZ Medical Associates. In her role, she provides comprehensive healthcare services, managing both chronic and acute conditions while delivering emergency care and promoting overall health. Her responsibilities include conducting thorough physical examinations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective patient care and positive outcomes.
Sharon earned her Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College, School of Nursing, where she graduated with high honors. She is board-certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse with Prescriptive Authority in New Jersey and has additional certifications from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Heart Association in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS). Her professional qualifications are further supported by eligibility for CDS and DEA schedules.
Previously, Sharon worked as an Occupational Health Family Nurse Practitioner at SB COKE, where she managed workplace injuries, health monitoring, and emergency preparedness. At Norah’s Adejet, she played a key role in patient recovery from ventilator support, demonstrating her ability to handle complex cases. Her tenure at Exclusive Women’s Healthcare involved providing primary care to over 1800 women, including prenatal and postpartum care, with a focus on education and preventative measures. Earlier roles include serving as a school nurse, where she managed student health records and chronic conditions, and as a registered nurse at St. Mary Medical Center, specializing in orthopedic medical-surgical care.
Sharon’s clinical training as a Nurse Practitioner Student included managing a range of acute and chronic conditions, performing detailed physical assessments, and providing patient education. Her extensive experience highlights her dedication to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a variety of healthcare settings.
