Psychologist

Lance Brown, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist and seasoned educator, currently contributing his expertise to AZZ Medical Associates. Holding a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Temple University, Dr. Brown’s research at Temple focused on reducing violence among inner-city African-American male youth through Afrocentric-based rites of passage training.

Having licenses in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Dr. Brown is the operator of The Center for Multicultural Therapy and Training, LLC. His practice prioritizes providing mental health services to seniors, lower-income individuals, and underserved populations. In his current position, Dr. Brown delivers psychological services for seniors in residential homes and assisted living facilities, emphasizing mental health assessments, treatment, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration.

Dr. Brown’s multifaceted career includes academia, with a tenure-track position at Camden County College, and clinical supervision at Rutgers, State University of New Jersey. Additionally, he has made significant contributions to the Division of Disability Services in NJ, conducting psychological assessments for disability claims. With a rich background in forensic psychology, including internships at Trenton Psychiatric Hospital and Anne Klein Forensic Hospital, Dr. Brown brings a wealth of experience and skill in various psychological instruments. He also maintains affiliations with professional organizations and actively engages in community service.
